Frequently Asked Questions

Are parents allowed to stay and observe class?

On select weeks, we invite parents to stay and watch their child's class. Because dancers focus and learn better with minimal distractions, we ask that parents wait in their vehicles or drop off their student for class when it is not observation day. SSD has a parent waiting room for those who would like to remain at the studio. We do ask that the parent room door remain closed when it is not parent observation week. Watch week will take place on the first class of September, November, January, March, and May for the 2023-2024 dance season.

Can my child still take classes even if they do not plan to participate in recital?

Yes, your child is more than welcome to take our classes even if they are not planning to do the spring recital. However, recital can be an enriching experience that helps build self-confidence.

What is the best way to make sure I don't miss any important dates or information?

All memos and reminders will be sent through email and/or shared on our Facebook page, Searcy School of Dance. The email used will be the one you provided on your child's fall registration form. If you would like an additional email address added to our mailing list, please contact our front desk.
