SSD Policies & Procedures

Each student will pay an annual registration fee of $25 in the fall.

Monthly fees are due on the 1st lesson of each month.

Students who pay their fees by the 7th of the month will receive a 5% discount for that month (cash or check only.)

Fees are based on a 4 lesson per month average. If scheduled classes fall below that average, fees will be prorated accordingly.

Students who fall behind on monthly payments will not be allowed to attend classes until their account balance is taken care of.

On the 1st lesson of every other month, parents are invited to observe their child’s class. We ask that parents only visit their child’s class on this day. Students tend to perform better without the distraction of having parents in the classroom.

Although regular attendance is vital to a student’s progress, we realize occasional absences are unavoidable. If you must be absent, it is the parents’ responsibility to call the studio and we will gladly schedule a make-up class if possible. Fees will not be adjusted due to absences.

If Searcy Public Schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather or other events, SSD will not hold classes on that day.

SSD will be closed for the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and  Spring Break. Check your email inbox for our Year at a Glance Calendar to be sent out at the beginning of each semester.

Our spring recital will be held in mid to late May. While participation is not required, it is highly recommended as it is an enriching experience for the dancers. Costumes for the performance are ordered in late November. A 50% deposit is due on November 4th with the remaining amount due on December 16th. A note with costume fee amounts and payment options will be sent home in late September.

A recital performance fee will be due on February 10th. This fee helps cover the rental cost for the auditorium as well as backdrops, props, and programs. The cost is usually around $60 and is determined by the estimated expense of the recital divided by the number of participating students. The exact amount will be given in early November.
